Yield

The annual return on an investment is called a 'Yield' and is expressed as a percentage. As an example, pertaining to bonds, the yield to redemption (or maturity) combines the running yield with the "pull to redemption" in determining its value, subject to interest rates at the time. This is a complex matter that requires expert advice.
