Key Financial Reports
For most businesses, the key financial reports are:
- Income and Expenditure report (Profit and Loss account), which provides an overview of income and expenditure during the financial period).
- Balance Sheet (which provides an overview of the financial position in terms of assets, liabilities and fund balances at the end of a financial period).
- Cash Flow Statement / Forecast (which shows how money moves in and out of the business on a regular basis). In the case of a Cash Flow Forecast, this will be the projected movement of cash and is often required by lenders in establishing the viability of making a loan.
