Job Seeker Allowance

Now called 'New Style Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)' this replaces the previous income-based system and provides a fixed amount, subject to age at the point of claim. The allowance is available to anyone looking for work and who has previously been employed and/or paying Class 1 National Insurance contributions.
