Benefit In Kind

A payment for services received that does not constitute money ('non-cash') is called a 'benefit in kind'.  Principally this applies to employees provided with goods and services for free, or at greatly reduced cost. The value of the benefit, as deemed, will normally add on to taxable income and includes such items as provision of car and/or fuel medical insurance and loans.
